Briana Hartmann (Jr., Owatonna, Minn.) won a two-hour, 40-minute consolation semifinal match against Rachel Summers of Mary Washington by a score of 5-7, 6-4, 4-1 (retired) Friday at the ITA Oracle Cup. Summers retired in the third set due to the heat and long points.

Briana Hartmann To Compete In ITA Oracle Cup

Gustavus women’s tennis player Briana Hartmann (Jr., Owatonna, Minn.) is set to compete in the ITA Oracle Cup on Thursday in Rome, Ga. The eight-player singles tournament features the eight regional champions from throughout the country. Hartmann will take on No. 1 seed Eudice Chong of Wesleyan at 9 a.m. EST Thursday. The winner will face the winner of Rachel Summer of Mary Washington and Claire Handa of Chicago.
