Special Teams Lift Men’s Hockey Over UW-River Falls 6-4
Special teams played a key role in the Gustavus men's hockey team's 6-4 win over UW-River Falls on Saturday at All Seasons Arena in Mankato. The Gusties scored three power play goals and one short-handed goal as Head Coach Brett Petersen's team improved to 3-1-0 overall this season. The Falcons remained winless at 0-3-1 this season.
Five Women’s Hockey Players Named All-MIAC; Andrea Peterson Named Player of the Year
Five Gustavus Adolphus women's hockey players have been named All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference by a vote of the league's coaches. Seniors Kelly Crandall and Andrea Peterson were recognized, as were juniors Margaret Dorer and Molly Doyle and sophomore Jenny Pusch. Peterson was also named MIAC Player of the Year for the fourth consecutive season.
Andrea Peterson Named MIAC Women’s Hockey of the Week
Gustavus Adolphus College women's hockey player Andrea Peterson has been named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Hockey Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 25, 2007. Peterson scored a goal and two assists in last weekend's sweep of the College of St. Catherine (7-2; 5-1), becoming the MIAC's all-time leading scorer (all games) in women's hockey in the process.
Women’s Hockey Defeats UW-Superior 6-2 in Home Opener
The Gustavus women's hockey team skated to a 6-2 victory over UW-Superior Tuesday night at Don Roberts Ice Rink. First-year Melissa Mackley (Fy., Burnsville, Minn.) led the Gusties with one goal and one assist. Gustavus improves to 1-1-0 on the season while UW-Superior suffers its first loss and falls to 6-1-0.
Men’s Hockey Season Ends With 7-5 Loss to Bethel in MIAC Play-In Game
The Gustavus men's hockey team saw its season come to a close Tuesday night with a 7-5 loss to Bethel in the MIAC Men's Hockey Playoffs Play-In Game. The Gusties led 5-4 midway through the third period, but the Royals scored three unanswered goals to set up a date with top-seeded St. Thomas in the MIAC Semifinals Thursday night. Gustavus closes out its season at 14-11-1.

Men’s Hockey Closes Out Regular Season With 4-2 Loss at Saint John’s
The Gustavus men's hockey team needed a win Saturday at Saint John's in order to have any chance of avoiding the play-in game of the MIAC Men's Hockey Playoffs or at least ensure that they would host, but could not pick up the weekend split with the Johnnies, falling 4-2 Saturday afternoon at the National Hockey Center in St. Cloud. Saint John's opened up a 4-0 lead after the second period and held on for the victory.
Men’s Hockey Falls to Augsburg 4-3, Secures MIAC Playoff Berth
The Gustavus men's hockey team fell to Augsburg 4-3 Saturday night in Minneapolis. Jon Keseley registered three assists for the Gusties, who fall to 14-8-1 overall, 9-5-0 in the MIAC. The Gusties' 8-6 win over the Auggies Friday night, coupled with Bethel's 3-2 loss to Hamline on Friday, secured a berth in the MIAC Playoffs for the Gusties.

The Gustavus men's hockey team inched ever closer to locking up a spot in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference playoffs with an 8-6 win over Augsburg Friday night at Don Roberts Ice Rink in St. Peter. Gustavus improves its record to 14-7-1 overall, 9-4 in the MIAC. Augsburg falls to 6-13-3 overall, 2-8-3 in the MIAC. The teams will complete the home-and-home series Saturday evening at Augsburg Ice Arena in Minneapolis. Game time is 7 p.m.

The Gustavus men's hockey team fell to Bethel University 4-1 Friday night in St. Peter. The Royals scored just 2:17 into the game to take a lead they would not relinquish. Gustavus falls to 12-5-1 overall, 7-2-0 in the MIAC. The teams will meet again Saturday evening at Columbia Arena in Fridley.
