The Gustavus men's hockey team needed four third-period goals to get past Saint Mary's 4-0 on Friday night in St. Peter. Junior forward Mike Hosfield led the Gusties with a goal and and an assist. Gustavus improves to 10-3-1 overall, 5-0-0 in the MIAC. Saint Mary's falls to 2-12-1 overall, 1-6-0 in the league. The two teams will face off at 7 p.m. on Saturday evening in Winona.
The Gustavus men's hockey team extended its winning streak to six games with a 10-2 win over Minnesota-Crookston in the final game of the Gustavus Hockey Showcase. Gustavus, now 9-2 overall, got two goals each from Mike Hosfield, Cody Drysdale and Loren Havemeier and five assists from Sami Idris. St. Olaf won the afternoon's first game, 5-2, over Lawrence.

Gustavus improves to 8-2 overall, while Lawrence falls to 3-7-2. St. Olaf and UM-Crookston played to a 4-4 tie in the Showcase's other game on Saturday.
The Gustavus men's hockey team fell to 3-2-0 overall on the season Wednesday night with a 3-2 loss to Saint John's at the National Hockey Center in St. Cloud. Jon Keseley and Tim Ornell scored for the Gusties, which allowed three Johnnie power play goals in seven attempts. Gustavus will open its MIAC slate with a pair of home games versus Concordia next weekend, December 2-3.
The Gustavus Men's Hockey team was defeated by UW-Eau Claire 5-2 on Friday night. Senior forward Jason Watters and first year forward Ben Ollila were the goalscorers for Gustavus, while sophomore forward Steve Jensen assisted on both goals.
