Men’s Soccer Rallies for 2-1 Win At Hamline In Overtime

The Gustavus men's soccer team improved to 7-2-1 overall and 4-1-0 in the MIAC with a come-from-behind 2-1 win at Hamline on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties tied the score at 1-1 on an unassisted goal by Justin Egelseder in the 88th minute and then claimed the win with a goal by Max Malmquist just three minutes into the overtime.

Women’s Soccer Gets Late Goal To Beat Pipers 1-0

The Gustavus women's soccer team got a late goal from Mackenzie Del Santro to squeak out a 1-0 victory over the Pipers from Hamline University on a gorgeous Homecoming in St. Peter, Minn. Del Santro's goal came with only 2:45 remaining on the clock as she collected a rebound and tapped it into the open goal. Senior Ashley Ohlson picks up the shutout win for Gustavus, who improves its record to 4-5-2 on the season (2-2-1 in the MIAC). Hamline falls to 5-6-0 overall and 1-5-0 in MIAC play with the loss.

Gustavus Volleyball Sweeps Hamline 3-0; Klein Reaches 2,000 Career Digs

Strong defense propelled the Gustavus volleyball team past Hamline University 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-22) Saturday afternoon in St. Peter as the Golden Gusties held a 13-5 edge in blocks. Emily Klein anchored the back row defense with 28 digs as she became the sixth player in MIAC history to reach 2,000 career digs. Angela Ahrendt was a force in the middle as she compiled nine blocks and 11 kills.

Adam Lukes Touchdown Gives Football 450th Win As Gusties Defeat Hamline 21-14

The Gustavus football team used a three-yard touchdown run from Adam Lukes (Sr., Watertown, Minn.) late in the fourth quarter to defeat Hamline University 21-14 for the program's 450th win at Hollingsworth Field in St. Peter on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties outgained the Pipers 339-218, but Hamline forced four interceptions, including three in the third quarter, to stay close in the MIAC opener for both schools.

Football Set For Home Opener Against Hamline University

The Gustavus football team will host Hamline University in its MIAC season opener on Saturday at 1:00 pm at Hollingsworth Field on the Gustavus campus. Softball Eliminated From MIAC Playoffs With Losses To Hamline And Augsburg

The Gustavus softball was eliminated from the MIAC Post-Season Tournament after suffering a 3-0 loss to Hamline and a 7-6 loss to Augsburg on Saturday afternoon in Arden Hills. Hamline and Gustavus each tallied five hits, but the Pipers received a home run from Sophie Davidson for the victory. The Gusties mounted a rally against Augsburg after trailing 6-0 after three innings, but left eight runners stranded during the game in the loss.

Women’s Tennis Defeats Hamline 8-1

The Gustavus women's tennis team extended its MIAC winning streak by defeating Hamline 8-1 on Friday in St. Paul. The Gusties improved to 17-8 overall and 7-0 in MIAC competition, while the Pipers dropped to 4-13 overall and 0-8 in league play. Gustavus earned all three doubles points, dropping just one game in doubles play.

Softball Splits Doubleheader With Hamline, Winning Game One 10-1, Losing Game Two 9-6

The Gustavus softball team earned a doubleheader split with Hamline in St. Paul on Thursday, winning game one 10-1 and losing game two 9-6. The Gusties scored in each inning en route to a five-inning game one victory. Hamline, which scored eight runs in the first three innings, held off a late Gustavus rally for a win in game two for the series split. Gustavus snapped a six-game winning streak as it fell to 18-6 overall and 8-4 in the MIAC.

Women’s Hockey Advances To MIAC Final With 5-0 Win Over Hamline

The Gustavus women's hockey team earned a spot in its ninth consecutive MIAC Championship game with a 5-0 win over Hamline at Don Roberts Ice Rink on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties jumped out to a three-goal lead in the first period and never looked back to earn their fifth shutout in seven games. Gustavus improved to 24-2-0, while Hamline finished its season at 14-10-3 after falling to the Gusties in the MIAC Semifinal for the second straight season.
