Hailey Harren Named Finalist for College Sporting News Senior Student Athlete of the Year Award

Hailey Harren, senior cross country runner from Cold Spring, Minn., has been named a finalist for the second annual Senior Student-Athlete of the Year Award for senior student-athletes who compete in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Harren, Zupan Named NCAA Post-Graduate Scholars

Gustavus Adolphus College student athletes Hailey Harren (women's cross country) and Alex Zupan (men's cross country) have been selected as two of 58 student-athletes from across the country to receive a NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship for the fall sport season. Harren and Zupan were the only student-athletes from a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference institution selected to receive the $7,500 award this fall.

Harren Finishes 8th at NCAA Cross Country Championships

Gustavus senior Hailey Harren completed her standout career with an 8th place finish at the 2006 NCAA Women's Cross Country Championship which was run at Voice of America Park in West Chester, Ohio. Harren recorded a time of 23:12 over the 6,000 meter course which was 40 seconds behind overall champion Sarah Zerzan of Willamette.

Hailey Harren Set To Defend National Title in Cross Country

Gustavus senior Hailey Harren will attempt to win her second consecutive NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Individual Title this Saturday at Voice of America Park in West Chester, Ohio. Harren, who won the NCAA Central Region title last weekend, will compete in a field of 280 runners for the chance to become only the third individual to win two NCAA Individual titles in NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country history.

Women’s Cross Country Finishes 8th at NCAA Region Meet, Harren Wins Individual Title

The Gustavus women's cross country team completed its season with an eighth place finish at the NCAA Central Region meet held at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. Individually, Hailey Harren won her second consecutive region title with a time of 21:37.82 over the 6,000 meter course. Harren will try to win her second consecutive NCAA Individual National Title next weekend in West Chester, Ohio.

Hailey Harren Named MIAC Cross Country Female Athlete of the Week

Hailey Harren was named MIAC Cross Country Female Athlete of the Week after she raced to a new St. Olaf Invitational meet record last Saturday, winning the 6K race in 21:52. Harren, the defending NCAA DIII National champion, won by more than a minute and a half over her nearest competition.

Hailey Harren, Bobby Kroog Named 2006 Gustavus Student Athletes of the Year

The Gustavus Adolphus College Athletics Department has announced the 2005-06 Male and Female Athletes of the Year and they are Hailey Harren, a cross country runner from Cold Spring, Minnesota and Bobby Kroog, a soccer player from Bloomington, Minnesota.
