The Gustavus women's golf team finished runner-up to St. Olaf at the 2011 MIAC Championships held Oct. 1-3 in Coon Rapids, Minn. The Gusties shot a team-record 961 (+97) over the three-day event, as Sam Falk led the way with a third place finish after shooting a 232 (+16).

Gustavus golfer Taylor Drenttel (Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) earned MIAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week honors after leading the Gusties to a first place victory at the Division 3 Classic over the weekend. Drenttel won the tournament with a 153 (+9), her lowest round of the season.
