The Gustavus men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams Saturday concluded competition at the Grinnell College Pioneer Classic. The men won the meet with 1630 points and the women took second at 1357.5, just 2.5 points behind Carleton.

The Gustavus men’s and women’s swim & dive teams got off to a solid start at Grinnell’s Pioneer Classic on Friday. The Gustie men sit in first place after the first session with a score of 530.5 – nearly 250 more points than the second place team – while the women are one point off the lead with 372 points.

The Gustavus men’s and women’s swim & dive teams both defeated St. Olaf on Saturday at Vic Gustafson Pool. The men won 200-90 and the women edged the Oles 164-136.

The Gustavus men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams hosted their season opener Saturday at Vic Gustafson Pool against Minnesota State-Mankato and UW-Stevens Point and came away with a number of successful results. The men defeated Stevens Point, while the women beat Steven Point and lost to MSU.

Men’s track and field student-athlete Taylor Rooney (So., Andover, Minn.) and women's swimmer Maggie Webster (Sr., Apple Valley, Minn.) have been selected as the Gustavus Adolphus College February Male and Female Student-Athletes of the Month, presented by Thrivent Financial and voted on by the Gustavus Sports Information Department.
