The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) on Monday afternoon announced the 64-team field for its Division III Women’s Basketball Championship and Gustavus (22-4) is selected to face No. 5-ranked Simpson (25-1) in the first round on Friday, March 4, hosted by Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa.

For the first time in program history, Gustavus women's basketball is the champion of the MIAC postseason tournament. The Gusties, now 22-4 overall, defeated MIAC regular season champion Augsburg 65-56 on Sunday afternoon, punching their ticket to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Women’s Hockey Starts Strong in 5-1 Playoff Win Over Concordia
No. 6 Gustavus women's hockey Saturday afternoon got off to a quick start with two goals in the first 10 minutes and went on to beat Concordia 5-1 in a MIAC playoff quarterfinal game at Don Roberts Ice Rink. The Gustavus women's basketball team had one of its most dominating performances of the season Friday night, defeating Bethel 74-40 in the MIAC semifinals. Poe Earns Third MIAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week Honor
Annika Poe (Jr., Big Lake) placed fourth in the shot put at the Minnesota State University-Mankato Mark Miller Invite on Feb. 18 in a field that included both Division II and III athletes. Poe's longest mark was 13.69 meters (44-11.00), which is the best distance in the MIAC this season and ranks 13th in NCAA Division III.
