BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Brooke Power (So., Lakeville) tallied three points in the series sweep against St. Scholastica over the weekend, securing Gustavus its 17th MIAC regular-season championship and the top seed in the conference tournament. Power had the game-winning goal in overtime on Feb. 17 that locked in the MIAC title, and assisted on another score in the 3-2 win. She then scored one more goal on Feb. 19, which ended in a 3-0 win, giving Gustavus an NCAA-leading and program record 14th shutout of the season. For her performance, Power has been named MIAC Women’s Hockey Athlete of the Week.
