Track & Field Garners Multiple USTFCCCA Awards

The Gustavus track & field teams recently earned multiple honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the 2022 outdoor season. Three Gustie women claimed four All-Region accolades, nine individuals received All-Academic Athlete recognition, and both the men's and women's squads were named All-Academic Teams.

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its 2021-22 Winter and Spring Academic All-Conference honorees on Monday, which included 197 Gustavus student-athletes. 

Donnelly, Nelson Selected CoSIDA Academic All-America

The 2022 CoSIDA Academic All-America Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country Teams were announced Tuesday and Gustavus student-athletes Birgen Nelson (Jr., Edina) and Elizabeth Donnelly (Sr., Langely, Wash.) were selected First and Second Team Academic All-America, respectively.

Gustavus Finishes 38th in Learfield Directors’ Cup Division III Standings

The final standings for the 2021-22 Learfield Directors' Cup in NCAA Division III were released Thursday and Gustavus finished in 38th place out of 326 institutions. Gustavus had nine teams compete in the NCAA postseason, accumulating 456 points in the Directors' Cup.
