Women’s Basketball Advances To MIAC Championship With 61-49 Win Over Concordia

The second-seeded Gustavus women’s basketball team advanced to the MIAC Championship for the first time in five years with a 61-49 victory over third-seeded Concordia Thursday night in St. Peter, Minn. The Gusties will travel to St. Paul on Saturday to take on No. 1 St. Thomas for the MIAC Championship at 3:00 p.m.

Women’s Basketball Caps Regular Season With 70-53 Win Over Bethel

After dropping its last two road tests, the Gustavus women’s basketball team finished the regular season on a positive note heading into the MIAC Playoffs with a 70-53 victory over Bethel on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. The Gusties finish the regular season with a 19-6 overall record and 17-5 mark in the MIAC.


Women’s Basketball Journeys To Concordia Wednesday

The Gustavus women's basketball team will make the long trip to Moorhead, Minn. on Wednesday for a women's/men's doubleheader. The Gustie women take on the Cobbers at 5:45 p.m. and the two men's squads tip-off at 7:45 p.m. Gustavus enters the match-up with an 18-5 overall record and 16-4 mark in the MIAC, which has secured the No. 2 spot in the conference playoffs.

Women’s Basketball Seeking Return To Win Column Tonight Against Augsburg

After a tough setback to MIAC-leading St. Thomas on Saturday, the Gustavus women's basketball team is back in action tonight at home against Augsburg. Tip-off at Gus Young Court is set for 7:30 p.m. The Gusties come in as the No. 2 team in the conference at 13-2 and 15-3 overall, while the Auggies are 8-7 in the MIAC and 11-7 overall.

No. 20 St. Thomas Ends Women’s Basketball 12-Game Win Streak 72-52

The Gustavus women’s basketball team jumped out to a 3-2 lead to open Saturday afternoon’s game in St. Peter, Minn., but 20th-ranked St. Thomas responded with 12 unanswered points and never looked back en rout to a 72-52 Tommie victory. The loss ended a program record 12-game MIAC win streak for the Gusties, who fall to 15-3 overall and 13-2 in the conference, while the Tommie stay perfect in the league at 15-0 and 17-1 overall.


Women’s Basketball Notches 12th Consecutive Win 70-44 Over Carleton

The Gustavus women’s basketball team cruised to its 12th consecutive victory with a 70-44 decision over Carleton Wednesday night in St. Peter, Minn. completing the regular season series sweep. The Gusties improve to 15-2 overall and 13-1 in the MIAC, while the Knights fall to 2-15 overall and 1-13 in conference action.

Senior captain Molly Geske led the Gusties with 15 points as one of six players in double-digits. 

Six Gusties Register Double-Digits, Women’s Basketball Completes Sweep Over Saint Ben’s 84-75

For the first time in head coach Mickey Haller’s 12-year career at the helm, the Gustavus women’s basketball team logged six players with double-digit points in an 84-75 victory over the College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph, Minn. on Wednesday night. The scoring outpour from multiple players propelled the Gusties to their seventh consecutive MIAC victory, improving to 8-1 in the conference and 10-2 overall, while the Blazers fall to 7-5 overall and 4-5 in the MIAC.

Women’s Basketball Tops Augsburg 58-48

The Gustavus women’s basketball team erased an early deficit and battled back for a 58-48 victory over Augsburg on Wednesday night in Minneapolis. The Gusties ended their three-game road trip with consecutive wins and move to 3-1 in the MIAC and 5-2 overall.

Women’s Basketball Cruises To 73-31 Win At Carleton

The Gustavus women’s basketball team got back on the winning track Monday night in Northfield, Minn. with a convincing 73-31 victory over Carleton. The Gusties move to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the MIAC, while the Knights fall to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in conference play.

The Gustavus women's basketball team defeated Hamline 63-41 Wednesday night in St. Peter, Minn. in its home opener and first MIAC game on the year. The Gusties improve to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the MIAC.
