Eric Bigham Scores Two Goals As Men’s Hockey Upends Saint John’s 5-1
The Gustavus men's hockey team scored four unanswered goals in the second and third period to defeat Saint John's 5-1 on Friday night at Don Roberts Ice Rink in St. Peter. Eric Bigham led the Gusties with two goals as Head Coach Brett Petersen's squad won its fifth straight game. The Johnnies held a 31-25 advantage in shots, but goaltender Josh Swartout kept the Gusties in the game making 30 saves.
Eric Bigham Named MIAC Baseball Player of the Week
Gustavus Adolphus College freshman first baseman/left fielder Eric Bigham (Robbinsdale, Minn./Benilde-St. Margaret's) has been named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week for the week ending April 15, 2007. Bigham hit .538 on the week, going 7-for-13 with two doubles, a grand slam home run, five RBIs, and five runs scored in five games.
