The Gustavus baseball doubleheader with Macalester scheduled for Wednesday, April 29 at 2:30 in St. Peter, has been postponed and moved to Thursday, April 30 at 2:30 pm. As a result of the Macalester doubleheader being moved to Thursday, the Gustavus vs. Bethany Lutheran non-conference doubleheader scheduled for Thursday in St. Peter has been canceled and will not be re-scheduled.
The Gustavus baseball team suffered a setback in the race for a post-season berth after dropping two games to St. Olaf by the scores of 11-2 and 3-2 in nine innings on Tuesday in St. Peter. The Gusties were not able to string together many hits as they managed just four hits in each game compared to the Oles, who generated more than ten hits per contest. Gustavus fell to 7-9 in league play, while St. Olaf improved to 11-5 in the MIAC standings.

Matt Morgan delivered a RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning to cap off a two-run rally to give the Gustavus baseball team a 2-1 walk-off win over Augsburg on Saturday in St. Peter. The Gusties dropped the second game of the doubleheader 3-0. Alan Woitas went the distance on the mound for Gustavus in game one to improve to 2-0, while Brandon Knoll suffered the loss in the nightcap.
The Gustavus baseball team scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to earn a 7-4 win in game two of a doubleheader with UW-La Crosse on Tuesday in St. Peter. The Eagles prevailed in game one 15-2. Adam Bren was the winning pitcher in game two for the Gusties. Gustavus moved to 14-16 overall, while UW-La Crosse moved to 17-11 overall.
The Gustavus baseball team dropped a pair of games to Hamline in 9-6 and 8-0 decisions on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter. The Gusties struggled on the mound as the Piper hitters combined for 26 hits in both games, and were kept off balance at the plate by the Hamline pitchers. Gustavus moved to 13-15 overall and 6-6 in the MIAC, while the Pipers moved to 15-14 overall and 7-5 in the MIAC.
The Gustavus Adolphus College baseball doubleheader scheduled for Saturday, April 18 at 1 pm in St. Peter against Hamline has been moved up to 11 am in hopes of beating the rainy weather forecasted for Saturday afternoon.
The Gustavus baseball team picked up a doubleheader split against Carleton on Wednesday afternoon in Northfield. The Knights came away with a 6-1 win in the first game, but Andrew Woitas and Kevin Hagen combined to hurl a one-hit shutout in game two to help the Gusties earn the split in a 6-0 decision. Alan Woitas led the squad at the plate as he combined to go for 5-for-9 and scored three runs in both games.
The Gustavus baseball team rallied to score two runs with two outs in the top of the 13th inning to defeat Bethel 4-2 to salvage a series split with the Royals on Saturday. Bethel prevailed in the first game 3-0 as the Gusties managed just four hits. In game one, Brandon Knoll was the hard-luck pitcher in the loss, while Cody Sukalski worked 11 innings in a pitching gem in game two. Tory Herman pitched two scoreless innings in relief to record the second game win.
The Gustavus baseball team extended its current winning streak to five games as it defeated Saint John's 5-3 and 7-2 in St. Peter on Tuesday. In the first game, the Gusties scored runs in the bottom of the fifth and sixth innings to break a 3-3 tie en route to the victory. Coach Mike Carroll's squad
