MIAC Recognizes 32 Gusties As Fall 2011 Academic All-Conference Honorees

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its Fall 2011 Academic All-Conference honorees Wednesday and 32 Gustavus student-athletes were recognized for their strong athletic performances and excellence in the classroom.

The Gustavus women's golf team finished runner-up to St. Olaf at the 2011 MIAC Championships held Oct. 1-3 in Coon Rapids, Minn. The Gusties shot a team-record 961 (+97) over the three-day event, as Sam Falk led the way with a third place finish after shooting a 232 (+16).

Four Women’s Golfers Earn NGCA All-American Scholar Honors

Gustavus women’s golfers Kayleigh Dittes (Eden Prairie, Minn.), Katie Schenfeld (Indianola, Iowa), Annie Jackson (Fargo, N.D.), and Taylor Drenttel (Eagan, Minn.) have earned a spot on the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team for NCAA Division III.

Women’s Golf Finishes Third At Augustana Invitational

The Gustavus women's golf team posted a third place finish out of 14 teams at the Augustana Invitational, which was played on Saturday and Sunday at Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls, S.D. Individually, Gustavus was led by Ann Jackson (76-82) and Kate Schenfeld (76-82) who tied for fifth at 158.
