Men’s Tennis Cruises To Three MIAC Victories

The Gustavus men's tennis team proved its value in the MIAC Saturday with three convincing victories over Concordia (9-0), Bethel (8-1) and Macalester (9-0) in St. Peter, Minn. The three wins improve the Gusties to 5-2 overall and 5-0 in the MIAC. Gustavus won 17-of-18 singles competitions in straight sets and all nine doubles matches on the day.

The Gustavus men's tennis team picked up its second win of the weekend with a 9-0 sweep of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Sunday morning in St. Peter. The Gusties won every set of the day but one, which came in the hotly contested #1 singles matchup between Amrik Donkena and Chris Kuna.

Men’s Tennis Tops Hamline and MSU-Mankato

The Gustavus men's tennis team opened up its 2011 home schedule with convincing wins over Hamline (9-0) and Minnesota State, Mankato (9-0) at the Swanson Tennis Center on Saturday. Coach Tommy Valentini's squad, which dropped only two sets in the 12 singles matches during the day, improved to 2-2 overall and 1-0 in MIAC play.
