Track & Field Puts Together Dominant Performance at Maverick Invitational

Gustavus track & field competed at the Minnesota State Maverick Invitational Friday, and collected quite a few impressive performances across the board.

Rakow, Smith Named MIAC Track & Field Athletes of the Week

Rakow was named MIAC Women's Field Athlete of Week, while Smith earned MIAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week. 

Track & Field Takes Second at CSB/SJU invitational

Both the Gustavus men's and women's track & field teams took second place Saturday at the CSB/SJU Invitational. In 18 total events for each gender, the women scored 142 points while the men totaled 109 points. 

Track & Field Sets Two School Records

Birgen Nelson (Sr., Edina) and the Gustie men's distance medley relay competed at the Minnesota State University-Mankato Massive Meet on Friday and turned in a couple school record performances. 

Birgen Nelson Accepted to USATF Indoor Championships

Gustavus senior hurdler Birgen Nelson (Edina) has been accepted to race the 60-hurdles at the 2023 USA Track & Field (USATF) Indoor Championships, held Feb. 16-18 in Albuquerque, N.M.

Track & Field Competes at Nebraska and Minnesota State

The Gustavus men's and women's track & field teams continued their indoor season at a pair of meets this weekend, sending athletes to Nebraska's Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational and MSU-Mankato's Ted Nelson Classic.

Poe Named MIAC Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week

Annika Poe (Sr., Big Lake) won the shot put at the St. Olaf Invitational on Jan. 28 with a distance of 14.38 meters.

Track & Field Competes at St. Olaf Invitational

The Gustavus men's and women's track & field teams competed at the St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday and came away with a number of victories and one school record. 

Kes Named MIAC Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week

 Madi Kes had a record breaking weekend at the Macalester Vanessa Seljeskog Classic. Kes broke not only her 2022 standing meet record of 11.19 on the triple jump, but, with a distance of 11.70 meters, Kes set a new school record. Kes’ jump was good for first overall in the triple jump, first in the conference, and is the seventh best distance in NCAA Division III this season. On top of that performance, Kes added a fourth place finish in the long jump, good for sixth in the MIAC. For her performance, Kes was named MIAC MIAC Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
