No. 36 Women’s Tennis Heads To Duluth For Trio Of Non-League Matches

The No. 36-ranked Gustavus women’s tennis team travels to Duluth, Minn. this weekend for a trio of non-conference matches. The Gusties face Minnesota-Duluth at 7 p.m. tonight, followed by St. Scholastica and Minnesota-Crookston at 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., respectively, tomorrow. Gustavus enters the weekend with a 2-0 overall record. UM-Duluth is 3-2 overall, St. Scholastica is 4-0, and UM-Crookston is 0-3.

Women’s Tennis Earns Pair Of Wins In Home Opener

The No. 36-ranked Gustavus women’s tennis team started its 2017 season with a pair of victories Saturday at the Swanson Tennis Center. The Gusties defeated Hamline 9-0 in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match and then beat Northwestern-St. Paul 8-1 in non-league action, moving to 2-0 on the season.

Women’s Tennis Opens 2017 Season With 6-3 Exhibition Win At Mesa Community College

The Gustavus women’s tennis team kicked off its 2017 spring season Thursday under the bright Arizona sun and came away with a 6-3 exhibition victory over Mesa Community College. The Gusties swept doubles play and claimed victories in the bottom three singles slots.

Women’s Tennis Has Successful Showing At USTA/ITA Midwest Regional

The Gustavus women’s tennis team hosted the 2016 USTA/ITA Midwest Regional Tournament this weekend, which featured 30 of the top teams in the region. The Gusties had a good showing in both the singles and doubles draws with four individuals making the final 16 in singles play and one doubles team in the final four.

Women’s Tennis Hosts USTA/ITA Midwest Regional Championships

Gustavus Adolphus College is set to host the 2016 USTA/ITA Midwest Regional Championships in St. Peter, Minn. this weekend. The tournament runs from Friday, September 23 through Sunday, September 25 and will feature 30 of the top teams in the region at eight sites throughout St. Peter and Mankato.

Gustavus Tennis Teams Well Represented In 2016 ITA Academic Awards

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association recently announced its 2016 Academic Awards and the Gustavus men’s and women’s teams are well represented. The men’s team features five players as 2016 scholar athletes, while the women’s squad is recognized as an all-academic team with 11 scholar athletes.

Gustavus Hosts ITA Summer Circuit Event

Gustavus Adolphus College is hosting an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Summer Circuit event Friday through Sunday, July 1-3. The tournament brings together college players from all divisions as well as top junior players for a weekend of singles and doubles. Play begins with play-in matches, beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday. Main draw and consolation matches continue Saturday with play beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday’s matches also begin at 9 a.m.
