The Gustavus women's soccer team exploded for eight goals, five in the second half, en route to an 8-0 win over the Beavers from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa Sunday afternoon. Senior Ashley Voigtlander scored the winning goal just 62 seconds into the match and Ashley Ohlson got the shutout in goal for the Gusties. Gustavus improves its season record to 7-7-3, while Buena Vista drops to 2-15-0 on the season.

Women’s Soccer Plays To 1-1 Draw With Macalester On Senior Day

The Gustavus women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with the Scots from Macalester College on Senior Day in St. Peter, Minn. Ashley Anderson tied the score with her third goal of the season in the 59h minute when she re-directed a cross from Megan Gode past goalkeeper Jenny Lee. Ashley Ohlson played in goal for the Gusties and got the tie. With the draw, Gustavus moves to 6-7-3 (4-4-2 in the MIAC), while Macalester moves to 8-7-2 (5-3-2 in the MIAC).

Women’s Soccer Defeats St. Olaf 1-0

The Gustavus women's soccer team defeated the Oles from St. Olaf College 1-0 on a cold and rainy Wednesday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. Christy Tupy scored her fourth goal of the season in the 26th minute when she one-touched a pass from Chelsea Craven into the left corner beating Ole goalkeeper Elizabeth Huggins. Ashley Ohlson got the win in goal for the Gusties. With the victory, Gustavus improves to 6-7-2 (4-4-1 in the MIAC), while St. Olaf drops to 7-7-1 (4-3-1 in the MIAC).

The Gustavus women's soccer team fell to the College of St. Catherine 1-0 on a blustery Saturday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. Kaitlin Kramer got St. Kate's on the board just 3:03 into the game when she scored on a header from a cross by Kelsey Nistler off a corner kick. Despite firing 23 total shots, the Gusties were unable to beat Wildcats' goalkeeper Kaylee Schmit. With the loss, Gustavus falls to 5-7-2 (3-4-1 in the MIAC), while St. Kate's improves to 7-6-1 (3-5-0 in the MIAC).

Gustavus women's soccer player Chelsea Craven has been named MIAC Player of the Week after her three goal effort against Bethel last Saturday. Craven leads the team in scoring with six goals and two assists for 14 points. The Gusties are currently 5-6-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the MIAC.

The Gustavus women's soccer team gave up two second half goals to Augsburg College to fall 2-1 in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match in St. Peter, Minn Tuesday night. Senior Callie Christensen gave the Gusties an early lead when she scored on a corner kick in the 20th minute. Augsburg came back in the second half to score two goals in the first 14 minutes. Gustavus falls to 4-6-2 overall (2-3-1 in the MIAC), while Augsburg improves to 8-1-3 overall (4-0-3 in the MIAC).

Women’s Soccer Gets Late Goal To Beat Pipers 1-0

The Gustavus women's soccer team got a late goal from Mackenzie Del Santro to squeak out a 1-0 victory over the Pipers from Hamline University on a gorgeous Homecoming in St. Peter, Minn. Del Santro's goal came with only 2:45 remaining on the clock as she collected a rebound and tapped it into the open goal. Senior Ashley Ohlson picks up the shutout win for Gustavus, who improves its record to 4-5-2 on the season (2-2-1 in the MIAC). Hamline falls to 5-6-0 overall and 1-5-0 in MIAC play with the loss.

The Gustavus women's soccer team opened its seven-game home stand with a 2-0 shutout over the University of Wisconsin-Stout. The Gusties were able to get on the scoreboard early on a goal from sophomore Ashley Anderson. Senior Callie Christensen put the game on ice with her first goal of the season in the second half. Senior goalkeeper Ashley Ohlson got the win for Gustavus recording three saves. The Gusties improve their season mark to 3-5-2, while the Blue Devils fall to 4-5-2 on the season.
