Ingrid Olson (Senior, White Bear Lake, Minn.) was named the Women’s MIAC Nordic Skier of the Year on Wednesday, March 10. The skier of the year is determined by adding up the points from five CCSA races and the conference championships.

The Gustavus Adolphus women’s nordic ski team finished fourth place in the NCAA Central Regional Championships held in Houghton, Michigan. Nicole Olson finished 18th in the 5k freestyle race and Kristen DeVries finished 17th in the 15k classical race.

The Gustavus women’s nordic ski team had a big first day at the MIAC Championships and holds an 11- point lead over Saint Olaf heading into the second day.

The Gustavus women’s nordic ski team will look to claim its third consecutive MIAC Championship this weekend at Graystone Ski Trails in Saint Cloud, Minn. Coach Scott Jerome’s squad is skiing extremely well and is the favorite to claim the title again.

Gustavus Adolphus senior Ingrid Olson (White Bear Lake, Minn.) was named the MIAC Nordic Skier of the Week for the second time this season. Olso won the 13 kilometer freestlye race at Mora Vasaloppet on Sunday, February 8.

Ingrid Olson, senior from White Bear Lake, Minn., was named Female Skier of the Week for January 19-25. Olson finished 12th in the 10k classical race and 15th in the 5k freestyle race in the NCAA Qualifying race in Cable, Wisconsin.

The Gustavus women’s nordic ski team turned in its finest performance in the program’s history with an impressive third place finish at the NCAA Qualifying meet . Ingrid Olson led the way with a 12th place finish in the 10K classical race.

The Gustavus women’s nordic skiing team has revealed its schedule for the upcoming 2004 season.
