Gustavus shot a total team score of 327 to claim the championship of the Cobber Open on Friday at Wildflower Golf Course in Detroit Lakes, Minn. The Gusties were paced by Kimbra Kosak who tied for medalist honors with an 80.

The Gustavus women’s golf team opened its 2005 fall season with a strong second place finish at the 17-team UW-Eau Claire Invitational played at Mill Run and Wild Ridge Golf Clubs in Eau Claire. Senior Kelli Groff led the team individually as she placed second with a 36-hole total of 78-77–155.

Gustavus women’s golfer Kelli Groff, a junior from Bloomington, Minn., placed 15th at the NCAA Division III Championships which were played at Mid-Pines Golf Club in Southern Pines, North Carolina. Groff fired a 72-hole total of 85-83-83-80–331.

After two rounds at the NCAA Division III Women’s Golf Championships Gustavus Adolphus College junior Kelli Groff (Bloomington, Minn.) is tied for 19th place overall. Groff has compiled a 36-hole total of 85-83-168 (+24) and moved up six spots after the first day of competition.

Gustavus Adolphus College junior Kelli Groff (Bloomington, Minn.) is one of ten individuals selected to compete at the 2005 NCAA Division III Women’s Golf Championships. The individuals are in addition to the ten teams selected by the Women’s Golf Committee to compete at the championships.

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s golf team compiled a 36-hole score of 343-334–677 to place fourth out of 13 teams at the Minnesota Women’s Collegiate Golf Association State Championship. Kelli Groff earned all-state honors and head coach Scott Moe was named coach of the year.

The Gustavus women’s golf team recorded a first-round score of 343 at the Minnesota Women’s Collegiate Golf Association Championships on Saturday. Kelli Groff leads the Gusties with an 18-hole score of 81. The tournament is taking place at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker, Minn.
