The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s basketball team opens the 2016 calandar year by taking on No. 12 University of St. Thomas on Wednesday, Jan. 6 at McCarthy Gym in St. Paul, Minn., with tip off set for 7 p.m. Live stats as well as a live stream of the game will be available. The Gusties enter the game with an 8-3 overall record and 3-1 mark in the conference, while the Tommies head into the contest with a 9-2 overall record and identical 3-1 MIAC mark.

Playing in its first game action since Dec. 15, the Gustavus Adolphus College women's basketball team earned a 47-29 victory over Ramapo College in a low-scoring affair on Monday morning in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The game served as the first of two competitions for Gustavus during its winter training trip, and with the win, allows it to improve to 8-2 overall. The 29 points allowed by the Black and Gold is also the lowest point total by an opponent since the Gusties defeated Macalester College 51-23 on Feb. 15, 2006.
