Michael Middleton Named Men’s Head Soccer Coach

Michael Middleton has been named the new head coach of the men’s soccer program at Gustavus Adolphus College. Middleton, a 1983 graduate of Leeds Carnegie College of Physical Education and Recreation in the United Kingdom, is replacing Larry Zelenz, who resigned in May after serving as the men’s soccer coach for the past 24 years.

Gustavus Adolphus senior Max Hanson highlighted the final day of the 2010 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships by winning the 800-meter run with a time of 1:49.50. Hanson also joined Cole Carlson, Colby Citrowske, and Matt Leeb in a second place finish in the 400-meter relay (3:12.82) to cap off the 2010 NCAA Championships.
