Track & Field Set To Compete At Ted Nelson Classic

The Gustavus men's and women's track & field teams are set to compete at the Ted Nelson Classic Saturday, hosted by Minnesota State University-Mankato. The 14-team meet at the Myers Fieldhouse includes Augustana, Bethany Lutheran, Carleton, Concordia-St. Paul, Gustavus, Iowa Central, MSU-Mankato, Northwest Missouri, Sioux Falls, St. Cloud State, St. Olaf, Upper Iowa, UW-La Crosse, and Waldorf. Field events begin at 11 a.m. and running events begin at noon.

Men’s Track & Field Takes Second At St. Olaf Quadrangular, Women Take Fourth

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track & field teams competed at the St. Olaf Quadrangular Friday at the Tostrud Center. The men took second with 146 points, while the women took fourth with 113 points. St. Thomas won on both the men’s and women’s sides with 203.5 and 196 points, respectively.

Track & Field Set For St. Olaf Triangular

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track & field teams are set to compete at the St. Olaf Triangular today, which includes the host Oles, Bethel, and the Gusties. The meet begins at 4 p.m. at the Tostrud Center on the campus of St. Olaf.

Men’s Track & Field Wins Macalester Kilt Classic, Women Take Third

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track and field teams started the indoor season strong Friday at Macalester’s Kilt Classic. The men took first place with 179 points, including seven individual event champions, while the women took third place with 116 points, including three event champs.

2017 Indoor Track & Field Season Begins Friday At Macalester’s Kilt Classic

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track and field teams are set to kick off the 2017 indoor season Friday at Macalester’s Kilt Classic. 58 Gusties Recognized As MIAC Winter-Spring Academic All-Conference

Remarkably, student-athletes in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) keep finding ways to achieve both in their chosen sports and in the classroom at ever-improving rates. For the first time in MIAC history, the conference recognized more than 1,000 student-athletes with Academic All-Conference honors. Gustavus has 58 student-athletes recognized as Winter-Spring Academic All-Conference.

Five Track & Field Athletes Named USTFCCCA All-Region

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the All-Region honorees for the 2016 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season and five Gustavus athletes earned recognition as part of the All-Central Region Team. On the men’s team, Michael Hensch (Fy., North Branch, Minn.) and Sam Fischer (Sr., Sauk Centre, Minn.) were honored as All-Region, and on the women’s team, Mallory Butchko (Fy., Elko, Minn.), Marit Sonnesyn (Sr., Plymouth, Minn.), and Sarah Swanson (Sr., Fairbanks, Alaska) were named All-Region.

Women’s Track & Field Takes Fourth At MIAC Championships, Men Take Seventh

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track & field teams completed the MIAC Outdoor Championships on Saturday. The women took fourth place with 85 points, while the men took seventh with 55 points.

Women’s Track & Field In Fifth After Day One Of MIAC Championships, Men In Sixth

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track & field teams began competition at the MIAC Outdoor Championships on Friday and finished the day with a number of quality performances. The women sit in fifth place with 26 points, while the men are in sixth place with 12 points.
