Men’s Swimming Set To Take Part In NCAA Championships

The Gustavus men's swimming team will send four swimmers to the NCAA Championships this weekend which will be hosted by Macalester College at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center. The Gusties will be trying to improve on their 12th place finish of a year ago. The four swimmers who qualified include Matt Stewart (Sr., Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley), Dave Pearson (Sr., Woodbury, Minn./Stillwater), Skylar Davis (Jr., Palatine, Ill.), and Whitaker Davis (So., Palatine, Ill.).

Men’s Swimming and Diving Team Finishes Second At MIAC Championships

The Gustavus men's swimming and diving team turned in several outstanding performances on the final day of the MIAC Championships, however the Gusties were not able to catch St. Olaf and had to settle for second place. The Oles took the top spot with 851 points followed by the Gusties with 738 points.

Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Teams in Second Place After Second Day Of MIAC Championships

The Gustavus men's and women's swimming and diving teams held their ground and both teams are in second place after the second day of the MIAC Championships, which are being held at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center in Minneapolis. The women's team trails Carleton by 60 points, while the men's team trails St. Olaf by 81 points. The championships conclude on Saturday.

The Gustavus men's swimming and diving team is in second place after the first day of the MIAC Championships, which are being held at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center in Minneapolis. The Gusties, who scored 214 points, trail first place St. Olaf, who tallied 232 points. Matt Stewart had big day for the Gusties as he won the 500 freestyle for the third consecutive year in a MIAC record time of 4:26.78.

Men’s And Women’s Swimming And Diving Teams Prepare To Defend Titles At MIAC Championships

The Gustavus men's and women's swimming and diving teams will defend their conference titles this weekend at the MIAC Championships which are being held at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center. The Gustie men have won six of the last seven league titles, while the women have the past two titles. The meet, which Thursday through Saturday, features preliminary events in the morning sessions and finals during the evening sessions each day.

Gustavus Men’s and Women’s Swim and Dive Teams Named To CSCSAA Academic Team Honor Roll

The College Swimming Coaches Association (CSCAA) released its Academic Team Honor Roll last week and both the Gustavus men's and women's swimming teams were honored by the CSCAA. The women compiled a team gpa of 3.28 which was 37th best in Division III. The men compiled a team gpa of 3.15 which was 25th best in Division III.

Relays Highlight Men’s Swimming and Diving Performance At Minnesota Challenge

The Gustavus men's swimming and diving team took part in the Minnesota Challenge hosted by the University of Minnesota at the U of M Aquatics Center on Friday and Saturday. While no team scores were kept, Gustavus swam well against a quality field that included teams from NCAA Division I, II, and III. The Gustie relay teams sparked the squad during the weekend as the 400 and 800 free relay teams posted second place finishes and the 400 medley relay team posted a third place finish.

Men’s Swimming Claims 169-130 Dual Meet Win Over Carleton

The Gustavus men's swimming team posted a 169-130 dual meet win over Carleton in St. Peter on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties won seven individual events and one relay during the meet. Matt Stewart and Skylar Davis led the way with two first place finishes each.

Skylar Davis Named MIAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week

Gustavus Adolphus College junior Skylar Davis (Palatine, Ill.) has been named the MIAC Swimmer of the Week for his efforts last weekend in Stevens Point, Wis. Davis recorded two individual first place finishes and one first place finish on a relay to help the Gusties finish second out of six teams at the Get To The Point Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point.

Billy Schultze Named MIAC Swimmer of the Week

Gustavus Adolphus College first-year Billy Schultze (Mankato, Minn./East) has been named co-MIAC Swimmer of the Week with Nathan Young of Macalester College. Schultze won two individual events and was a part of one winning relay at last Saturday's Saint John's Winter Invite.
