The Gustavus men's hockey team traveled to St. Olaf on Tuesday night to complete its non-conference postponed series sweep over the Oles. The Gusties took a 4-2 win and move to 5-10-2 overall and remain 0-5-1 in the MIAC.

SAINT PETER, Minn. - The Gustavus men's hockey team took its second consecutive loss to the Cobbers in a 5-1 final. With the loss, the Gusties fall to 4-10-2 and 0-5-1 in the MIAC.

SAINT PETER, Minn. - The Gustavus men's hockey team opened its conference series against the Cobbers and took a 7-1 loss, moving to 4-9-2 overall and 0-4-1 in the MIAC. 

MIAC Announces Basketball, Hockey Playoff Details

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced additional details for its all-comers tournaments in basketball and hockey on Friday. The MIAC Athletic Directors' Council moved to adopt a revised postseason format for this year due to the impact of COVID-19-related cancelations on the 2021-22 regular seasons.

Three Goals in 30 Seconds Lifts Men’s Hockey 5-4 in OT

SAINT PETER, Minn. - The Gustavus men's hockey team hosted its first home game of 2022 and took a 5-4 overtime win against St. Olaf after a third period scoring frenzy. The three goals in thirty seconds was an impressive feat for fans on Tuesday night, but fell short to the 3 goal sequence record that happened in just 19 seconds when the Gusties played the Oles on Dec. 7th, 1977.

Men’s Hockey Downed 3-1 At UW-Superior

SUPERIOR, Wis. - The Gustavus men's hockey team played its final non-conference game of the season when they traveled to UW-Superior on Saturday night. The Gusties suffered a 3-1 loss and move to 3-8-1 overall and remain 0-3-1 in the MIAC.

Men’s Hockey Ties 2-2 at Northland

ASHLAND, Wis. - The Gustavus men's hockey team had their first contest of 2022 when they traveled to Northland College and took a 2-2 tie in overtime. With the tie, the Gusties move to 3-7-2 overall and remain at 0-3-1 in the MIAC. Junior goaltender Justin Damon (Jr., St. Michael) impressed making 49 saves in the process and letting up just two goals. 

Winter Sports Canceled Jan. 8-10

Due to the increased number of COVID cases, recent NCAA guidelines, and policy changes that will soon take place, all Gustavus athletic events on Jan. 8, 9, and 10 are postponed. The MIAC contests are considered forfeit losses for the Gusties under the current MIAC policy.

Men’s Hockey Weekend Series vs. St. Olaf Postponed

The Gustavus men's hockey MIAC home-home series vs. St. Olaf, scheduled for Friday, Jan. 7 in Saint Peter and Saturday, Jan. 8 in Northfield, is postponed due to COVID testing protocols within both programs.

Men’s Hockey Wins 7-2 at Concordia-Wisconsin

MEQUON, Wis. - The Gustavus men's hockey team traveled to Wisconsin on Saturday for a 2021 non-conference closer. The Gusties took a 7-2 win and improve to 3-7-1 and remain 0-3-1 in the MIAC. Seniors Patrick Gazich (Sr., Minnetonka) and Connor Clemons (Sr., Savage) each had a pair of goals in the process.
