Men’s Golf Finishes Fourth at Saint John’s Invitational

The Gustavus men's golf team finished fourth out of 12 teams at the Saint John's Invitational played Sunday at Rich Spring Golf Club in Cold Spring, Minnesota. The Gusties fired a 36-hole total of 303-299--602 and finished 24 shots behind first place Saint John's. Gustavus was led individually by Eric Harris who tied for eighth place at 71-76--147.

Men’s Golf Finishes Second At Bobby Krig Invitational

The Gustavus men's golf team fired a tournament best score of 297 on the second day of the Bobby Krig Invititational and finished second with a 36-hole total of 312-297--609. Saint John's won the team title with a total of 298-303--601. Individually, Nick Profancik of Maryville University claimed medalist honors with a total of 77-70-147. Erik Tone of Gustavus (77-72--149) and Peter Vogel (74-75--149) tied for second place.

First Round Results of Bobby Krig Invitational Hosted by Gustavus Men’s Golf Team

The Gustavus men's golf team is hosting the second annual Bobby Krig Invitational on Monday, April 16 and Tuesday, April 17. Saint John's is in first place after the first day with a team score of 298. Gustavus is in seventh place with a score of 312. The first round was played at Le Sueur Country Club and the final round will be played at the Ridges at Sand Creek near Jordan, Minn.

Men’s Golf Finishes 11th at Emory University Invitational

The Gustavus men's golf team opened its spring season with an 11th place finish (out of 14 teams) at the Emory University Invitational played at Smoke Rise Golf Club in Stone Mountain, Georgia. The Gusties were led by freshman A.J. Olson who placed 36th with a 36-hole total of 74-81-155.

Men’s Golf Tenth After Day One of Oglethorpe Invitational

The Gustavus Adolphus men's golf team sits tenth after the first day of the Oglethorpe/Royal Lakes Fall Classic at Royal Lakes Golf and Country Club in Flowery Branch, Ga. Led by Mark Stuckey's 73, the Gusties posted an 18-hole team score of 308. Defending NCAA Division III champion Methodist leads the 12-team field with a 290. Play concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday.

Men’s Golf Closes Fall Season With Tenth Place Finish at Oglethorpe Invitational

The Gustavus Adolphus men's golf team closed out its fall season with a tenth place finish at the Oglethorpe Fall Classic in Flowery Branch, Ga. The Gusties posted rounds of 308 and 307 for a 615 team score. Defending NCAA Division III champion Methodist took the team title after shooting 290-295--585. The 12-team field featured 10 teams ranked in the most recent GCAA/Bridgestone Division III Coaches Poll.

Men’s Golf Finishes Third at Twin Cities Classic

The Gustavus men's golf team fired a final-round 333 to place third at the Twin Cities Classic at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska. The Gusties' three-day total of 929 was 15 strokes off the pace set by team champion UW-Eau Claire (914) and nine back of runner-up Saint John's (920). Senior Erik Tone finished tied for ninth individually with a 54-hole total of 229 (+13). Gustavus will close out its fall schedule Oct. 30-31 at the Royal Lakes/Oglethorpe Invitational in Chestnut Mountain, Ga.

Men’s Golf Tied for Third Entering Final Day of Twin Cities Classic

UW-Eau Claire shot a second-round 288 Sunday at the Links at Northfork in Ramsey to jump from fifth to first at the Twin Cities Classic. The Blugolds hold a seven-shot lead over Saint John's heading into the final 18 holes and a nine-shot advantage over both Central and host Gustavus. Erik Tone leads all Gusties with a 2-over-par total of 146 and is tied for fifth. The tournament concludes with 18 holes at Hazeltine National in Chaska on Monday.

Men’s Golf Second After First Day at Twin Cities Classic

The Gustavus Adolphus men's golf team placed a pair of golfers in the top ten after the first day of the Twin Cities Classic at Elk River Country Club in Elk River, Minn. The Gusties, who trail Central by six strokes, fired a first-round 295 and sit one shot ahead of MIAC Champion Saint John's. Jordan Hawkinson is tied for third after a first-round 71.

Men’s Golf Ties For Second at MIAC Championships

The Gustavus Adolphus men's golf team closed out the 2006 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championships Monday with a final round total of 300 to finish the event with a 54-hole total of 901, 24 shots behind defending champion Saint John's. Erik Tone shot a final-round 70 to finish at even-par 216, second in the medalist hunt behind SJU's Joe Schoolmeesters (214). Tone, Jordan Hawkinson (fifth) and Eric Harris (tie-ninth) picked up All-MIAC honors.
