The Gustavus men’s basketball team held off a late Saint John’s rally to win its school record 16th straight MIAC regular season game 82-73 at Gus Young Court in St. Peter Saturday afternoon. Doug Espenson recorded 29 points and nine rebounds in the game.

The Gustavus men’s basketball team extended its win streak to 14 games with a 75-62 win over Augsburg in Minneapolis. Doug Espenson led the Gusties with 23 points.

The Gustavus men’s basketball team survived an 11-2 Saint Olaf rally in the last 4:34 to win 58-57 at Gus Young Court in St. Peter Wednesday night. Doug Espenson led Gustavus offensively with 20 points and nine rebounds, and Phil Sowden tallied 15 points.

The Gustavus men’s basketball team survived a 14-0 Bethel run during a 5:44 span in the second half to win 65-63 and stay atop the MIAC standings with its league-best 12th straight victory. Adam TeBrake led Gustavus offensively with 23 points.

The Gustavus men’s basketball team extended its win streak to 11 games with a 69-50 win over Saint Mary’s in Winona, Minn. Doug Espenson scored 32 points to lead the Gusties and match his career high for points in a game. Gustavus is now 15-5 overall.

The Gustavus men’s basketball team defeated Carleton 73-66 Wednesday night in Northfield, Minn. Senior Doug Espenson led the Gusties in scoring with 21 points.

The Gustavus men’s basketball team climbed to the top of the MIAC standings by holding off St. Thomas by the score of 90-80 at Gus Young Court in St. Peter Monday night. Andrew Olson led the Gusties with a career high 27 points.
