The Gustavus men’s basketball team extended its win streak to nine games with a convincing 62-43 win over Hamline at Gus Young Court in St. Peter on Monday night. Brett Boese and Tim Brown scored 12 points each for the Gusties.

Freshman sprinter Scott Hagemeyer and junior butterfly specialist were double winners while shattering pool records as Gustavus swam past Saint John’s 176-124 at the Lund Center Natatorium in Saint Peter.

Eva Miller Claims Pool Record as Women’s Swimming Tops St. Ben’s
Eva Miller won both the 100 and 200 yard breastroke to help the Gustavus women’s swimming and diving team defeat the College of Saint Benedict 173-113 at the Lund Natatorium in Saint Peter.

The Gustavus women’s hockey team started its East Coast swing with a 2-1 win over Colby College in Waterville, Main. Katie Deschneau and Ellen Doyle scored goals.

Gymnasts Set to Take Part in Gershon Invitational
The Gustavus women’s gymnastics team will take part in the UW-La Crosse Gershon Invitational on Friday night January 30. The Gershon is one of the premiere Division III Invitational meets in the Midwest. Competition begins at 6:15 pm.

Men’s Hockey Team Slips Past Hamline 3-2
The Gustavus men’s hockey team jumped out to a 2-0 lead over Hamline on Friday night and then held on for a 3-2 win at Don Roberts Ice Rink. Sophomore forward Steven Dusich led the Gusties with one goal and one assist.

Gymnastics Team Finishes Second at Gershon Invitational
The Gustavus women’s gymnastics team posted a season best score of 183.40 but finished second to host UW-La Crosse (184.650) at the Gershon/McLellan Invitational in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Gustie Amanda Parker won the all-around with a score of 37.875.
