2019-20 Women’s Hockey Season Preview

The Gustavus women’s hockey team opens its 2019-20 campaign Friday night at St. Scholastica featuring a roster loaded with underclassmen. This year’s squad of 27 student-athletes includes 12 first-years and 11 sophomores with their sights on bringing Gustavus back to the top of the MIAC.

Cross Country Ready for MIAC Championships Saturday

Months of training and mental preparation culminates Saturday for the Gustavus men’s and women’s cross country teams as they compete at the MIAC Championships. Carleton serves as this year’s host with the men’s 8k race beginning at 11 a.m. and the women’s 6k race to follow at noon.

The Gustavus women’s soccer team Wednesday won its final road game of the season 3-0 at Hamline. The Gusties improve to 5-12 overall and 3-7 in the MIAC, while the Pipers fall to 5-11 overall and 1-9 in the league.

The Gustavus Athletics Department inducted eight new members into its Hall of Fame last Saturday night during the 42nd annual banquet.

Men’s Cross Country Takes Sixth at UW-La Crosse

The Gustavus men’s cross country team took sixth place out of 21 teams Saturday at the UW-La Crosse Jim Drews Invitational. Host UW-La Crosse won the event, St. Olaf took second, and Iowa Central Community College placed third.

Women’s Cross Country Takes Fourth at UW-La Crosse

The Gustavus women’s cross country team took fourth place out of 22 teams Saturday at the UW-La Crosse Tori Neubauer Invitational. Iowa Central Community College won the event and had the top three individuals.

Men’s Tennis Concludes Play at ITA Cup

The Gustavus men’s tennis trio of Indraneel Raut, Michael O’Neil, and Daniel Fouchier concluded play at the ITA Cup on Friday.
