This weekend’s Gustavus softball home games have been postponed. Saturday’s MIAC doubleheader against St. Olaf has been moved to April 24 and Sunday’s MIAC doubleheader against Saint Benedict has been postponed to Wednesday, which will be played on the football field.

Men’s Tennis Tops No. 12 Pomona-Pitzer 8-1

In a matchup of top-12 nationally ranked teams and the No. 2 ranked squads in their respective regions, the No. 8 Gustavus men’s tennis team put together a convincing 8-1 victory at No. 12 Pomona-Pitzer on Wednesday night. A split squad lost 6-3 against Hope International, moving the Gusties’ record to 14-6 overall.

Women’s Golf Spring Opener In St. Louis Cancelled

The spring opener for the Gustavus women’s golf team is pushed back a week as the Washington University-St. Louis Invite scheduled for Saturday and Sunday has been cancelled. The Gusties will now begin the spring season April 14-15 in Normal, Ill. at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational.

Tyler Oare Named West Region Gymnastics Assistant Coach Of The Year

The National Association of College Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W) announced its postseason awards Monday and Gustavus coach Tyler Oare has been named West Region Assistant Coach of the Year. The award was voted on by West Region coaches at the NCGA Championships.

Softball Schedule Changes Due To Weather

The Gustavus softball schedule has been adjusted due to the cold weather and recent snowfall in northern Minnesota. Monday’s home opener against Bethany Lutheran has been postponed to May 1. Also, next Wednesday’s MIAC doubleheader at Concordia has been postponed to April 10.

Malo Selected As All-Around Alternate At Division I Gymnastics Regional Meet

The National Collegiate Athletic Association announced the team and individual competitors for its Women’s National Collegiate Gymnastics Championships and Gustavus’s Amanda Malo (Jr., Greenwood, Minn.) has been selected as an alternate in the all-around competition at the Minneapolis regional, which will take place 4 p.m. April 7 at the University of Minnesota.

Women’s Soccer Announces 2018 Summer Camp Dates

The Gustavus women’s soccer team is excited to be hosting two different residential camps this summer. Head Coach Laura Burnett-Kurie and the Gusties will host a Co-Ed Youth Soccer Camp, ages 8-17 (June 24-27), and a high-level High School Girls Camp, grades 9-12 (July 8-11).

The No. 7-ranked Gustavus men’s tennis team won all three of its matches Saturday to improve to 13-5 overall and 4-0 in the MIAC. The NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships concluded Saturday as Maggie Webster (Jr., Apple Valley, Minn.) and Kate Reilly (Sr., Hastings, Minn.) swam the 100 freestyle, and Tanner Sonnek (Jr., North Mankato, Minn.) competed in the 200 breaststroke.
