Gymnastics Scores 182.300 at UW-Oshkosh

Facing one of the top teams in the nation, Gustavus gymnastics had a tough WIAC matchup in UW-Oshkosh on Saturday. While the Gusties ultimately fell to Oshkosh 182.300-188.675, they continue to improve, posting their highest team score this season.

Women’s Hoops Continues Winning Ways, Defeats Carleton 87-40

The Gusties defeated Carleton by 47, 87-40, rolling to their sixth win in a row to keep hold of the top spot in the MIAC.

Women’s Hockey Gets Revenge in Rematch, Defeats Augsburg 4-0

The Gusties took their first MIAC loss of the season personally. Having fallen to Augsburg the night before in a heartbreaking 3-2 OT loss, the Gusties emerged with all the momentum and energy to defeat the Auggies in the rematch. Four different players scored a goal to lead the Gusties to a 4-0 victory.

Gusties Suffer First MIAC Loss of the Season in Overtime, 3-2

It was a battle of the top two conference heavyweights in Minneapolis, as the Golden Gusties, ranked first in the conference, faced Augsburg, who sit just behind Gustavus for second in the MIAC. Earlier in the season, it took only one goal to decide a non-conference contest between the two teams. This time, one goal wouldn't be enough to decide the game, as the Auggies defeated the Gusties 3-2 in overtime for the Gusties' first MIAC setback.

Women’s Hoops Nets Season-High 91 Points Over St. Olaf

The Gustavus women's basketball put up a season-high 91 points against St. Olaf on Wednesday night, cruising past the Oles 91-44 for the MIAC victory. Four Gusties scored in the double digits, helping the team improve to 13-2 overall and 10-2 in the conference.

Dominant Women’s Hoops Downs Hamline 84-55

The Gustavus women's basketball team erupted for 84 points, downing Hamline 84-55 in its first of three games this week. With the win, the Gusties improve to 9-2 in the conference to share the top spot with Bethel.

Olson Named MIAC Women’s Hockey Player of the Week

Emily Olson helped the Gusties to a perfect MIAC weekend, contributing on four of the Gusties five goals on Friday. Olson tallied three assists and a goal Friday night to give the Gusties a 5-2 win over Saint Benedict. With her three assists, Olson now has 12 on the season to pace the Gusties. Olson's power play goal added to the Gusties' national lead, which improved to 25 over the weekend. For her performance, Olson was named MIAC Women’s Hockey Offensive Player of the Week.

Women’s Hockey Posts Five Goals in Back-to-Back Games for MIAC Sweep

The Gustavus women's hockey team is nothing if not consistent. After all, the Gusties tallied five goals — and three on the power play — for the second night in a row, defeating Saint Benedict for the MIAC sweep, 5-1.

Women’s Hoops Tops SCU 76-31, Laurie Kelly Gets 400th Win

The Gustavus women's basketball team put up 76 points against St. Catherine Saturday afternoon, rolling past the Wildcats for their third straight MIAC victory. With the win, Head Coach Laurie Kelly tallies her 400th career coaching win. The Gusties improve to 11-2 overall and 8-2 in conference play.

Gymnastics Falls to UW-Whitewater in Home Opener

The Gusties hosted their first meet of the year, inviting national notable UW-Whitewater to Sponberg Gymnastics Studio Saturday afternoon. The Warhawks, in their first meet of the season, put up a score of 186.450 to top the Gusties, who finished with a 181.500 in their home opener.
