Kate Eggers and Beth Hauer Named To USTFCCCA All-Academic Team
The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its 2010 All-Academic Cross Country teams this week, honoring Kate Eggers and Elizabeth Hauer along with the entire Gustavus women's cross country team.
Cartony Scores Twice, Women’s Hockey Beats UW-Stevens Point 5-1
The Gustavus women's hockey team put together a full-team performance to defeat UW-Stevens Point 5-1 on Tuesday night at Don Roberts Ice Rink in St. Peter. Amanda Cartony scored two goals for the Gusties and now has four goals in the last three games.
Women’s Hockey Featured On Fox Sports North
The Gustavus women's hockey team was featured on Fox Sports North on Saturday, February 12, as part of the network's coverage of Hockey Day Minnesota. Fox Sports North reporter Ann Carroll interviewed several players about what it means to be a Golden Gustie hockey player. The segment also briefly focused on the family connection within the team - Coach Mike Carroll's assistant coach is his brother Steve. The coaches' niece, Molly Carroll, is a junior captain for the Gusties.
Women’s Track and Field Scores 198, Wins At Carleton
The Gustie women's track and field team continued its indoor season with a win at Carleton's Meet of Hearts, held on Saturday, February 12, in Northfield. Gustavus posted eight first-place finishes on the day to win the meet with a total of 198 points.
Men’s Track and Field Wins Carleton’s Meet Of Hearts
The Gustavus men's track and field team captured first place in six events while posting a team score of 181 to win Carleton's Meet of Hearts on Saturday, February 12, in Northfield. Blair Riegel led the Gusties, winning three events on the day.
Women’s Basketball Falls 65-58 To St. Thomas
The Gustavus women's basketball suffered a 65-58 loss to St. Thomas on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. The Gusties struggled from the floor, shooting 30.4-percent in the game. Four Gusties scored in double-figures, while St. Thomas' Taylor Young recorded a game-high 18 points. Gustavus falls to 14-9 overall and 13-7 in the MIAC
Women’s Hockey Tops Hamline 2-1 In Overtime
The Gustavus Women's hockey team defeated Hamline 2-1 in overtime on Friday night in St. Peter. The winning goal was scored by Lindsey Hjelm at the 2:54 mark to move the Gusties to 13-3-3 overall and 9-2-2 in the MIAC.
Softball Posts 2-4 Record In Hawaii
The Gustavus softball team kicked off its 2011 season with a trip to Oahu, Hawaii, where they played six games on their seven day trip to the Hawaiian Islands. The Gusties posted a 2-4 record on the trip while playing against NCAA Division II competition.
Riegel Leads Men’s Track And Field At Ted Nelson Classic
First year Blair Riegel led the Gustavus Men's Track and Field team with a pair of second place finishes in the long jump and triple jump at the Ted Nelson Classic held this past weekend at MSU, Mankato.
Men’s Track and Field Competes At MSU Open
The Gustavus Men's Track and Field team competed January 28th and 29th at the MSU Open in Mankato. The Gusties posted six top-ten finishes against a field that included teams from NCAA Divisions II and III.
