SAINT PETER, Minn. – Gustavus track & field hosted the Gustie Twilight on Wednesday and collected a number of event winners.
Event winners on the women’s side included Megan Geraets (So., Mankato) in 200-meter at 24.85, Danielle Miller (Jr., Waconia) in the 100-hurdles with a time of 15.26; Caitlyn Storley (Sr., Rosemount) in the 1500-meter at 5:01.49; Birgen Nelson (Sr., Edina) in the 100-meter with a time of 11.91; Makenna Huetten (So., Eagan) in the 400-hurdles at 1:07.36; and the 4×100 relay team of Miller, Nelson, Geraets, and Kate Carlson (So., Inver Grove Heights) in 47.50, setting the school record.
In the field, Geraets won the long jump with a distance of 17-2 and Annika Poe (Sr., Big Lake) won the shot put with a mark of 47-1.25.
Event winners on the men’s side included Tucker Wallin (Sr., Red Wing) in the 1500-meter with a time of 4:13.20; Matthew Skelly (Jr., Le Sueur) in the 100-meter with a time of 11.20; Carson Roehl (So., St. Bonifacius) in the 800-meter at 1:57.94; Wyatt Quiring (Sr., Fairmont) in the 200-meter with a time of 22.04; the 4×100 relay team of Skelly, Quiring, Seth Zeitchick (Sr., St. Paul), and Danny Bies (So., New Hope), crossing the line in 43.07; and the 4×400 relay team of Korrigan Diercks (Jr., Utica), Jackson Miest (Jr., St. James), Tennessee Fossen (So., Chaska), and Jake Wielgos (Sr., Elburn, Ill.) finishing in 3:36.92.
In the field, Peter Oviguian (Sr., Eden Prairie) won the javelin with a distance of 153-9 and Josh Beiswanger (Sr., Mankato) won the hammer throw with a heave of 190-0.
Gustavus is next in action this weekend at the Drake Relays and Saturday at Macalester.
