BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Nick Aney (Sr., Rochester) helped the Gusties to a sixth place team finish among seven of the top-10 teams in the country at the ITA Indoor Championships over the weekend. In the No. 1 doubles spot, Aney went 2-1 over three matches, including a win over No. 10 Emory’s top pair – the NCAA runners-up from 2022. Aney also helped the Gusties to a victory over No. 8 North Carolina Wesleyan, winning in the No. 1 doubles spot, 8-4. Aney was 2-0 in No. 1 singles over the weekend with a win over No. 8 North Carolina Wesleyan and a 6-2, 7-5 victory over No. 1 University of Chicago. For his performance, Aney was named MIAC Athlete of the Week.
