The Series: Saturday’s contest marks the 80th all-time meeting between the two teams with Gustavus currently holding a 55-24 edge. The Gusties have won the prior 10 contests with St. Olaf’s last win coming on Jan. 4, 2014.

Scouting the Gusties: Gustavus is most recently coming off a 82-66 non-conference win over UW-River Falls Monday. The Gusties have shot it well from beyond the arc of late, shooting at least 37.5 in four of their past five contests. The Black and Gold are currently second in the MIAC in scoring at 74.8 points per game, while their mark of 53.4 points against is also second in the league. Caitlin Rorman has been the teams leading scorer at 15.1 points per game to go along with 7.0 rebounds, while Ava Gonosorowski averages 13.7 points and dishes out a team-best 3.3 assists.

Scouting the Oles: St. Olaf has had nearly a month off, with their most recent game being a 61-52 loss at Hamline on Dec. 11. The Oles are fifth in the MIAC in scoring at 67.2 points per game while their 66.0 points allowed ranks ninth. K’Lynn Lewis leads the offense with 14.0 points per game to go along with 4.2 assists, while Rachel Kelly adds 11.1 points and 5.9 rebounds.
