GENEVA, Ohio – Gustavus women’s thrower Katie Keelin (Jr., Burnsville, Minn.) took 13th in the hammer throw Saturday at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Keelin’s first attempt landed at 162-01.25 (49.41m) and stood as her best of three throws.
“We’re excited with what Katie has done in the hammer as her sole focus,” Head Coach Dale Bahr said. “Getting experience at the NCAA meet will definitely help her going into next year. Anything can happen on these days and if she keeps her composure the possibilities to perform well are there. I’m very proud of her.”
Cassandra Laios of Case Western won the national title with a throw of 184-10 (56.34m).
