SAINT PETER, Minn. – Men’s Cross Country athlete Andrew Stumbo is headed to the NCAA Championships due to his performance in the NCAA Central Regional.
Stumbo finished eighth place overall, the highest placing for a Gustavus athlete in over ten years. Stumbo saved his best performance of the year for last as his 25:11.1 was 29 seconds faster than his previous best for the season which was at the Wartburg Invitational where he finished fourth. His 25:11.1 time was also the fastest time for a Gustie runner since 1999 and will put his race into sixth place in school history for fastest 8K race times.
