Men’s Golf in Sixth After Day One

After day one of the MIAC Championship, the men’s golf team sits in sixth place with a score of 307.

JORDAN, Minn. – After day one of the MIAC Championship, the men’s golf team sits in sixth place with a score of 307. St. Thomas and St. Olaf sit atop the leaderboard tied at 291.

Jacob Pederson (Fy., Minnetonka, Minn.) led the Gusties on day one by shooting a 70 and putting himself in a tie for second place overall. Max Ullan (So., Blaine, Minn.) and Ben Hauge (Jr., Ramsey, Minn.) shot 77 and 79 respectively and both finished in the top 30 overall on day one. Carter Czichotzki (So., Moorhead, Minn.) shot an 81 and Thomas Carlson (Jr., Wayzata, Minn.) recorded an 82 to round out the Gustavus top five.

The Gusties will continue play tomorrow morning with tee times beginning at 8 a.m.
