The Gustavus volleyball team had their winning streak snapped at ten, falling to St. Thomas in four games (30-26, 26-30, 23-30, 20-30). The Gusties are now 12-4 overall and 2-1 in MIAC play.
The Gusties won the first game before dropping the next three to the Tommies. Gustavus was led by junior outside hitter Tara Houlihan with 17 kills, 15 digs and a .457 attacking percentage. First year outside hitter Andrea Kron also contributed 17 kills, while senior libero Sue Dailey had 22 digs.
First year Kelly Fitzpatrick led the way for the Tommies’ win with 20 kills and seven blocks. Sophomore Rachelle Dosch also had 12 kills and 12 digs.
Gustavus will be back in action on Wednesday, September 29 hosting St. Catherine’s at 7:30 p.m.
