Stowell Earns MIAC Women’s Track Athlete Of The Week Accolade

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Women’s Track & Field Athlete of the Week awards this afternoon, with McKayla Stowell (Jr., Le Sueur, Minn.) earning the track athlete of the week honor.

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Women’s Track & Field Athlete of the Week awards this afternoon, with McKayla Stowell (Jr., Le Sueur, Minn.) earning the track athlete of the week honor.  

Competing against Divsion II competition last Friday, Gustavus participated in the Maverick Invite on the campus of Minnesota State, Mankato.

Stowell was one of two Gusties to turn in a runner-up finish, clocking a time of 7.76 in the 60-meter dash. Her career-best 60-meter dash indoor time ranks first in the MIAC and is tied for eighth in all of Division III this season.

Next up, the Gusties prepare for the MIAC Indoor Championships Thursday though Friday in St. Paul, Minn. at Macalester College.
