Women’s Golf in Fifth Place after First Day of National Tournament

The Gustavus women’s golf team carded a solid round of 333 and is in fifth place out of ten teams after the first day of the NCAA Championships. The tournament is being held in Green Lake, Wisconsin.

The Gustavus women’s golf team carded a solid round of 333 and is in fifth place out of ten teams after the first day of the NCAA Championships. The tournament is being held in Green Lake, Wisconsin. The Gusties are 12 strokes behind first place UW-Oshkosh.

Kelli Groff led the Gusties with a five-over par 78. She is in third place individually. Other scores for Gustavus included Erin Schliep at 82 (+9). Kelsey Getz at 86 (+13), Katie Aplin at 87 (+14) and Alana Reetz at 90 (+17).

The Gusties will tee of beginning at 8:50 (Central Standard Time) on Wednesday. Alana Reetz will lead the way at 8:50 followed by Erin Schliep at 9:00, Kelli Groff at 9:10, Katie Aplin at 9:20 and Kelsey Getz at 9:30.
