ST. PETER, Minn.- The Gustavus men’s basketball team is back to the friendly confines of Gus Young Court at 7 p.m. Wednesday for game two of the season series against Bethel University. The Royals won game one of the season series 82-73 on Dec. 9. The Gusties enter the matchup with a 7-10 overall record and 4-8 mark in the MIAC, while the Royals are 12-4 overall and 7-4 in the league. Gustavus is trying to continue a two-game winning streak, while Bethel has won two of their last three games.

The Gusties and Royals met earlier this season on December 9. in Arden Hills, Minn. when they suffered a 82-73 defeat to Bethel. Brody Ziegler (Sr., Mankato, Minn.) led the Gusties with a double-double, scoring a game-high 22 points and 12 rebounds. Sergio Najera (Sr., New Prague, Minn.) and Chad Poppen (Sr., St. Peter, Minn.) also cracked double figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
