Women’s Golf To Cap Busy Week In College City Challenge

St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus women’s golf team will cap a busy week of competition by traveling to Hastings, Minnesota to compete in the Carleton College Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at the Bellwood Oaks Golf Club. Saturday’s round will begin at 12 p.m., while Sunday’s will begin at 10 a.m.

At the 2013 College City Classic, Gustavus tied the University of St. Thomas for first place out of six teams by shooting a 645 (+61). Sam Falk (Sr., Glenwood, Minn.) led all golfers by shooting a 152 (+6), seven shots better than second place Erin Dingmann of St. Thomas.

The Gusties are fresh off an appearance at the O’Brien National Invitational that took place this past Sunday and Monday at the University of Notre Dame. Gustavus finished seventh out of a ten team field with Jordan Drenttel (Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) and McKenzie Swanson (St. Louis Park, Minn.) turning in identical scores of 165 (+23) to lead the Gusties.
