Gymnastics Has Strong Showing On 2012-13 WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll

Madison, Wis. – The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) announced its All-Academic Award winners and Scholastic Honor Roll recipients for the 2012-13 academic year.  The Gustavus Adolphus gymnastics team had a strong showing on the WIAC Women’s Scholastic Honor Roll this past season with 12 members of the team taking home the honor for their achievements in the classroom.

During the 2012-13 academic year, nearly 50 percent of the 5,000 student-athletes competing in the conference achieved a 3.0 grade point average or better (on a 4.0 scale) and were named to the Scholastic Honor Roll.  Individuals named to the Scholastic Honor Roll received a certificate, while institutions claiming All-Academic Awards collected a plaque.

The list of Gustavus recipients included Kalyn Botzet (So., Maple Grove, Minn.), Amanda Christensen (Sr., Albany, Minn.), Paige Dieleman (Jr., Washington, Iowa), Tiffany Etterman (Sr., East Gull Lake, Minn.), Ashley Greeder (Jr., Mahtomedi, Minn.), Brittany Hancock (Jr., Anchorage, Alaska), Kaitlin Lang (So., Sioux Falls, S.D.), Kacy Lorber (Jr., Ashland, Wis.), Samantha Opsahl (Sr., Forest Lake, Minn.), Jamie Ries (Jr., Monticello, Minn.), Shelby Winzent (Sr., Golden, Colo.), and Bailey Zeinert (Sr., Oshkosh, Wis.).
