St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus softball team will battle Saint Mary’s University in a doubleheader on Saturday, April 28 at the Gustie Softball Field. Playing on their home diamond for just the first time this season, the Gusties will look to kick off a six-game home stand on the right foot against the Cardinals on Saturday. Gustavus enters Saturday’s games at 9-10 overall and 6-1 in the MIAC, while Saint Mary’s comes in at 16-9 overall and 9-5 in the MIAC.
Gustavus was in action yesterday in a road doubleheader against Augsburg College. The Gusties cruised to an 8-1 victory in game one and a 9-1 win in game two. Saint Mary’s is coming off a home split with St. Catherine yesterday. The Cardinals won 6-2 in game one, while the Wildcats took game two 7-3.
