St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus softball team will take on Hamline University in a doubleheader on Saturday, April 6 at 1:00 p.m. at Hollingsworth Field. Gustavus heads into Saturday’s twin bill with an overall record of 5-8 and an MIAC mark of 2-0. Hamline – who is facing a league opponent for the first time tomorrow – enters with an overall record of 4-6.
The Gustavus softball team is most recently coming off of sweep over St. Olaf in its conference-opening series on Thursday afternoon on the artificial turf of Hollingsworth Field. The Gusties snapped a three-game losing-streak with a come-from-behind 4-3 victory in game one, then completed the sweep with a 7-0 win in the nightcap.
The Hamline softball team is back in action for the first time since its trip to southern California March 26-27. The Pipers were swept in a pair of doubleheaders on its trip, falling 8-5 and 3-2 to California Lutheran and 9-1 and 7-6 to Biola University.
