Chelsea Craven Named MIAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week

Gustavus women’s soccer player Chelsea Craven has been named MIAC Player of the Week after her three goal effort against Bethel last Saturday. Craven leads the team in scoring with six goals and two assists for 14 points. The Gusties are currently 5-6-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the MIAC.

Gustavus Adolphus College junior forward Chelsea Craven (St. Cloud, Minn./Cathedral) has been selected as the MIAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week after scoring three goals to lead the Gusties to a 3-1 win over Bethel University in St. Peter this past Saturday. Craven’s first goal in the 26th minute tied the score at 1-1, while her second goal in the 70th minute turned out to be the game-winner. Her third goal in the 87th minute secured the win for Gustavus. Craven’s hat trick was the first hat trick by a Gustavus player since Samantha Engh scored four goals against Bethel in October of 2003. Craven leads the team in scoring with six goals and two assists for 14 points. The Gusties are currently 5-6-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the MIAC.
