Women’s Soccer Player Chelsea Craven Named To All-Conference Team

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Women's Soccer Coaches recently announced the 2008 All-Conference Team and Gustavus junior forward Chelsea Craven was named to the First Team. Craven, a native of St. Cloud, Minn., led the Gusties in scoring with eight goals and three assists for 19 points.

Gustavus women's soccer player Chelsea Craven has been named MIAC Player of the Week after her three goal effort against Bethel last Saturday. Craven leads the team in scoring with six goals and two assists for 14 points. The Gusties are currently 5-6-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the MIAC.

Chelsea Craven’s Hat Trick Propels Women’s Soccer To 3-1 Victory Over Bethel

The Gustavus women's soccer team defeated the Bethel Royals 3-1 behind a hat trick from junior Chelsea Craven. After falling behind 1-0, Craven and the Gusties scored three unanswered goals to get the victory. Senior Ashley Ohlson got the win in goal for Gustavus recording three saves. With the win, Gustavus moves to 5-6-2 overall (3-3-1 in the MIAC), while Bethel falls to 6-6-1 overall (1-6-1 in the MIAC).

Women’s Soccer Opens MIAC Play With 1-1 Draw Against Concordia

On a rainy afternoon in St. Peter, Minn., the Gustavus women's soccer team opened up its Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play with a 1-1 (2 OT) draw against the Cobbers from Concordia-Moorhead. Junior forward Chelsea Craven opened the scoring for the Gusties early in the second half only to have Concordia's Maia Johnson tie the game 18 minutes later.
