Women’s Golf Finishes Second at MIAC Championships

The Gustavus women’s golf team finished second at the 2007 MIAC Championships which were held at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. The Gusties fired a 54-hole total of 326-318-342–986 and finished 19 shots behind St. Thomas which recorded a score of 322-316-329-967. Gustavus was led by Rachel Roberg, who placed third with a total of 81-79-82–242.

The Gusties struggled a bit on the final day posting a total of 342 (+50) which was their highest score of the weekend. All five Gustavus golfers finished in the top 12 individually including Roberg, Kimbra Kosak, who finished in a tie for fifth at 86-78-84–248, Kali Griggs, who placed in a tie for seventh at 81-80-90–251, Katie Schenfeld, who placed tenth with a total of 81-86-86–253, and Amanda Johnson, who finished 12th with a total of 83-81-90.

Roberg, Kosak, Griggs, and Schenfeld all earned all-conference honors by finishing in the top ten individually.
