Women’s Cross Country 10th at UW-La Crosse

The Gustavus women’s cross country team picked up a pair of top-15 individual performances en route to a 10th place finish Saturday at the Tori Neubauer Invitational hosted by UW-La Crosse. Senior Kourtney Joyce finished eighth in a time of 22:08.

The Gustavus women’s cross country team picked up a pair of top-15 individual performances en route to a 10th place finish Saturday at the Tori Neubauer Invitational hosted by UW-La Crosse.

Senior Kourtney Joyce (Wadena, Minn.) finished eighth in a time of 22:08, while fellow senior Ashley Cronen (Kandiyohi, Minn.) added a 15th-place finish (22:31) to lead the Gusties.

Gustavus finished with 260 points, placing behind MIAC teams Macalester (5th, 199 points) and St. Olaf (6th, 200 points). UW-La Crosse took the team title with 72 points, placing a pair of runners in the top ten.

Gustavus is idle next weekend, taking a week off to prepare for the MIAC Championships, to be held at Como Park in St. Paul on October 29.
